Fire Reporting Software Built for NERIS V1
Compliant reporting without the paperwork backlog.
Fire Tracker Reports gives chiefs and reporting officers a NERIS V1 compliant way to compile, organize, and transmit incident reports — with national integration and a live audit trail instead of paper forms and single-station spreadsheets.

What Fire Reporting Software Should Do
Fire reporting software should make it easier for a department to capture incident information, keep it organized, and submit it on schedule. Fire Tracker Reports is built around NERIS V1 compliance and national integration, so the reports your officers compile are structured for the national standard from the start.
Instead of recreating records by hand or hunting through a single desktop to find a past incident, your crew works from organized digital reports with a live audit trail that shows who did what and when.
Fire Tracker Reports also connects to the alerting systems your department already uses — Active 911 and I Am Responding. When your department receives an alert, either system can be set up to automatically generate a new report — so the run is captured the moment the tones drop, not after the call is over. And reports are submitted as approved, so what reaches NERIS reflects your department's final, reviewed documentation.
The Problem With Paper and Desktop-Only Reporting
Many departments still handle fire reporting through paper forms or a reporting program installed on one computer in the station. That creates bottlenecks, lost reports, and audit headaches when a chief or commissioner asks for documentation.
- Reports locked to a single desktop that no one else can reach
- Paper forms that get misplaced or filled out inconsistently
- No clear record of who created, edited, or submitted a report
- Difficulty compiling reports on schedule for national submission
- Reporting that does not align with current NERIS V1 expectations

Who Fire Tracker Reports Is Built For
Fire Tracker Reports is designed for the people responsible for accurate, on-time fire reporting:
- Fire chiefs and officers overseeing incident reporting
- Reporting officers and fire marshals compiling reports
- Combination and career departments managing call volume
- Volunteer departments that need simpler reporting workflows
- Fire commissioners and municipal leaders requiring audit-ready records
Benefits for Your Department
Compliance Confidence
Reports are structured for NERIS V1 alignment from the moment they are created.
Faster Compilation
Compile and transmit reports on schedule without rebuilding them by hand.
Audit-Ready Records
A live audit trail gives chiefs and auditors a clear, trustworthy history.
Accessible Records
Move reporting off a single desktop so the whole crew can work from organized records.
Starts on the Alert
With Active 911 or I Am Responding integration, a new report can be generated the moment your department gets the alert.
NERIS Integration & Report Corrections
Fire Tracker Fire Reports streamlines NERIS reporting by allowing departments to submit completed incident reports directly to the National Emergency Response Information System.
Reports can be submitted with Approved status, helping departments complete their reporting workflow directly through Fire Tracker.
Need to correct a report after it has already been submitted to NERIS? Fire Tracker provides a structured correction process. Authorized users can reopen an existing report, make and save corrections within Fire Tracker, and use the Patch function to send those changes to the existing NERIS record without creating a duplicate report. An officer then re-approves the corrected report.
Every step is recorded in the incident's correction history, providing a clear record of changes and approvals.

Fire Tracker Reports
This page- Automatically locate matching preplans
- Display inspection review warnings
- Highlight verified responder hazards
- Access building information from the incident screen
From Fire Prevention to Emergency Response
When a department opens an incident at a building with a connected preplan, Fire Tracker Reports can automatically retrieve the building's preincident information and inspection review status. Verified, published responder hazards are displayed with clear warning levels, helping crews recognize known concerns as they assess the scene.
- Connected inspection and response information
- Automatic preplan lookup for matching incidents
- Visibility into outstanding inspection review
- Verified responder hazard warnings
- Building photos and floor plans
- Department-specific information and access controls
- Less switching between separate applications
Fire code violations are not automatically treated as responder hazards. A hazard must be reviewed, classified, and published by your department before it appears as an operational warning.
Building intelligence supports your crew's size-up. It does not replace firefighter size-up, scene assessment, or incident command decisions.
